This Coffee Makes You Feel Full For Hours

When it’s time to change your diet and start eating healthier, most people don’t bother to look for a healthier coffee. But maybe they should.

Since 2009 coffeemaker David Asprey has been selling a blend called Bulletproof coffee. He claims that his creation will make your brain work faster and leave you feeling full until lunchtime, but the best part is it still tastes great.

The secret is in the two special ingredients Asprey has included: butter and coconut oil.

Asprey got the idea for a buttered coffee drink after visiting Tibet, where it’s common for people to drink yak-butter tea. Lots of countries in Asia enjoy buttered coffee, but mainly because of the taste. Asprey mixes his coffee with special grass-fed butter, so it’s full of healthy fats.

He also blends in a type of refined coconut oil that he calls “Brain Octane Oil.” According to Asprey, most coffees don’t do a good job of filtering out the mold that grows on their plants, which can slow your brain down. Scientists can’t agree on how right he is, but there are lots of celebrities who swear by this drink.

Ed Sheeran and Divergent star Shailene Woodley both start their morning with Bulletproof Coffee.

If you want to see what all the buzz is about, you can find this coffee at some health stores, or buy some online.

11 Celebrities Who Look Like They Traveled Through Time

“You look like someone I know.” Sound familiar?

At some point in our lives each and every one of us have been told that we bear resemblance to another person. In fact, there’s an old belief that every person has a look-a-like somewhere on this earth, a doppelganger.

Though most of us may never meet our double, our family, friends, and even strangers will occasionally tell us that they have come across someone who looks strikingly similar to us.

Pretty fascinating, right? But here’s the thing: your doppelganger doesn’t necessarily have to be roaming the planet the same as you.

We’ve come across some photos of individuals from the past that look exactly like some of today’s celebrities. There’s a Civil War era man who looks like Nicholas Cage while Alec Baldwin looks like former U.S president Millard Fillmore.

Some people chalk up the eerie resemblances to reincarnation and time travelling while others claim it’s sheer coincidence. You can be the judge after you take a look at the pictures of more celebrity historical lookalikes below:

9 Songs Way Bigger Than The Movies That Inspired Them

Hit movies and hit songs don’t necessarily go together. Sure sometimes they’ll both be the top of their respective charts, like a Hollywood “It” couple that just can’t do anything wrong. Think Titanic and My Heart Will Go On. More frequently you’ll see a movie create a splash, but the song written for it will barely create a ripple on the chart.

Sometimes a song is so big that is actually dwarfs the movie that inspired it. Like the forgotten Hemsworth brother, the movie has to watch from the shadows as the song rakes in the cash and adulation.

Sucks for the movie, but it’s great for us!

We’ve made a list of 11 songs that made their movies green with envy.

1.) Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be Will Be)

Bizarrely this tune frequently sung among children is actually from an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Decidedly unfit for children the movie is a wartime spy drama. The song, originally performed by Doris Day, is one of those catchy tunes that everyone knows a little bit of, but few know all of.

2.) Call Me

Blondie is the bomb. Well Debbie Harry is. She’s the supercool badass that you’d expect from a legendary rocker, and the makers of American Gigolo should have known that. Sure the movie is responsible for giving us Richard Gere, but Call me, written for the movie, has stood the test of time where as the movie….well hasn’t.

3.) Gangsta’s Paradise

I have gotten into literal fights defending the lyrical masterpiece that is Coolio’s iconic Gangsta’s Paradise. There are two things everyone knows about Coolio. One is his hair, and the second is this song. Whenever you create something that can be as memorable as a do like that, you know you have something special. What a lot of people don’t know is that Gangsta’s Paradise was written for the movie Dangerous Minds which is sadly underrated. (You’ll probably remember the movie poster though.)

Are we bringing back some memories yet? Just because these songs were bigger than the movies that spawned them, that doesn’t mean that those movies aren’t worthy of a re-watch. Take these next for example.

4.) Mrs. Robinson

Simon and Garfunkel will be remembered forever as one of the best music duos. While Sound of Silence is iconic, their tune Mrs. Robinson is also great. The movie The Graduate is also a treasure, and there’s a reason the name “Mrs. Robinson” probably rings a bell. The song was written for this Oscar winning movie.

5.) Can’t Fight The Moonlight

Okay this one is bound to be controversial. Can’t Fight The Moonlight was a giant hit from the very talented, but even more annoying, Leanne Rimes. The movie which launched it Coyote Ugly was a cult classic which some of us will die defending. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but maybe after a few drinks you’ll be glad you took it home.

6.) Because You Loved Me

There was a time in the 90s where you didn’t make a movie without having Celine Dion belt out a few lyrics for you. If you missed this crucial step you were giving away millions of dollars in soundtrack sales. Thankfully for the mid-90s romance Up Close and Personal they adhered to this practice. Because You Loved Me is arguably one of Dion’s best love songs, but the movie, starring Robert Redford and Michelle Pfeiffer, stands up to the over-the-top emotion that we can’t help loving.

You can never tell just what’s going to make it big whenever you make a movie/song, if you could you’d be working in Hollywood and have way more money. There is one thing that tends to connect the movies with bigger songs though: they are guilty pleasures.

7.) How Do I Live Without You

Con Air has a rather strange distinction of spawning two hit songs of the same name. That’s because Leanne Rimes was the first one to record How Do I Live Without You but they thought it sounded too poppy. They turned to Trisha Yearwood to record the song and that’s the one you hear on the soundtrack. Both are great, but the movie is so bad in the best kind of ways.

8.) I Will Always Love You

The Bodyguard was a hit movie, but Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You is the type of song I wouldn’t be surprised to see as the center of a religion 1,000 years from now. Bow down to the epic ballad! The movie hit all the high notes too, romance, drama, Kevin Costner in his prime. Is the writing and acting stilted? Of course it is. Do we care? You know we don’t!

9.) Everything I Do (I Do It For You)

If it has parentheses in the name you just know you’re in for a treat. Bryan Adams was never better than he was when he recorded Everything I Do (I Do It For You) and Kevin Costner was agruably never worse than when he was a half-British half-American Robin Hood. It’s still a movie I’ve seen a million times and I won’t stop inflicting it upon myself any time soon.

9 Facts You Never Knew About The Three Stooges

Whether you remember their movies from your childhood, or watching their shorts on Saturday mornings, the Three Stooges brought laughter to generations of people with their signature slapstick antics.

Their time in the spotlight has come and gone, but the laughs they brought us will last forever. They left behind a HUGE body of work (keep reading to learn exactly how big it is) and a lifetime of classic gags.

But how well do you really know the Stooges? See if you already know any of these 9 surprising facts about the Hollywood funnymen – we promise not to throw a pie in your face if you don’t!

1. The movies were very, very cheap

Columbia Pictures, who made most of the Stooges’ short films,  were famously tight-fisted. The Stooges weren’t paid much, most of the film sets were recycled from other movies, and the crew would even sweep up the cream from cream pie fights to re-use it in the next take.

2. It wasn’t all fun and games

It’s hard to believe, with all the cartoon sound effects, but the stooges would often injure themselves for real while doing their slapstick routines.

Broken ribs, noses and sprained ankles were very common, and Larry once got a fountain pen stuck in his forehead. All in a day’s work!

3. Curly’s famous walk is from a childhood accident

One of Curly’s signature gags was his “shuffle,” his unusual limping walk. It even inspired its own song. There wasn’t much creativity behind this joke, just a bad accident.

When Curly was young he shot himself in the foot. He was too afraid to visit the doctor, so his limp was never fixed. What a stooge!

4. Moe, Shemp and Curly were brothers

The Howard brothers grew up in Brooklyn, New York. The three were obsessed with show business from a young age, but only Moe and Shemp were original members of  the Stooges. Curly would replace his brother years later.

Click the next page to learn which famous actress starred alongside the Stooges!

5. A major star got her big break with the Stooges

Recognize the actress in the picture below? It’s Lucille Ball from I Love Lucy. One of Ball’s first big breaks in show-business was a part in the Stooges’ short Three Little Pigskins.

Even though hundreds of actors and actresses performed alongside the Stooges, only a handful had successful careers. In fact, fans often mention the “curse of the Stooges,” where actors who appear in their movies seem to die young or have their careers cut short.

6. The Stooges almost won an Oscar

Yes, they have a reputation for being childish and silly, but you can’t deny the Stooges are true artists, because they almost won an Academy Award.

Men in Black, the short where they played clueless doctors, almost earned the comedians an Oscar for best comedy short film.

7. There were WAY more than 3 Stooges

Even casual fans know that their are 4 main “3 Stooges” – Larry, Curly, Moe and Shemp – but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The Stooges split up, made their own groups and were recast multiple times. Depending on who you include, there are anywhere from 6 to 20 actors who could rightfully be called Stooges.

The original Moe Howard with Curly Joe and Sappington, two replacement Stooges.

8. Moe’s haircut was real

It seems unbelievable that anyone would willingly walk around with that bowl cut on their head, but it was very important to Moe.

His mother had wanted a girl, so as a child she kept Moe’s curly hair long and flowing, which he was teased for. One day he had enough and chopped it off himself, creating the signature hairdo he’s famous for.

9. They made LOTS of movies

All in all, there are an incredible 220 Three Stooges movies, 190 of which were shorts. But the funnymen also had their own cartoons, TV shows, video games and even a licensed restaurant, Stoogeburger, owned by Larry and Moe.

It’s so easy to make these and have them on hand to add some pizzazz to a dish, or really just use them for plain old snacking. Make sure you watch the sugars as they cook – you don’t want burnt candied walnuts! Enjoy!

  • 1 cup of halved, de-shelled walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • ¼ cup of white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of water

Directions:

Prep a baking sheet with wax paper and place it next to your stove with some tongs or a spatula handy.

In a non-stick skillet, add your sugar, butter, and walnuts.

Over medium heat stir constantly until you ingredients begin to melt.

Nuts will be deep golden brown, and sticky – immediately transfer to the baking sheet and separate them in one layer to keep them from sticking together.

Allow nuts to cool for 10 minutes, and store in an airtight container.

8 Celebrities Who Have Been Accused Of Killing And Some Who Actually Did

It might be hard to believe, but there are more celebrities who have committed crimes in Hollywood than you can count on two hands.

While some on this list were involved in tragic accidents that resulted in deaths, others took lives in the line of duty. One person in this list was found guilty of murder, while another – widely believed to have done it – was found not guilty in a court of law.

Caitlyn Jenner

In February 2015 Jenner was involved in a fatal car accident. Witnesses reported that the Olympic champion’s SUV rear-ended a white car, thus sending it careening into oncoming traffic.

The driver of the white car was killed when it was struck by a Hummer and seven others sustained injuries. Jenner was uninjured.

Laura Bush

As a young teenager in high school, the former first lady drove through a stop sign and hit another car. The driver was Michael Dutton Douglas, a close friend and classmate, did not survive his injuries.

Ted Kennedy

He drove his car off a bridge on an island near Martha’s Vineyard in 1969. The vehicle and his passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne, sank in the river. His passenger drowned and Kennedy fled the scene. Nine hours later, he reported the incident and later plead guilty to leaving the scene of an accident.

James (Jimmy) Stewart

As a pilot in the U.S. Air Force Reserve during WWII, Stewart participated in several bombings that caused the deaths of enemy soldiers and civilians. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak leaf cluster and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Duane “Dog” Chapman

Before he became the “Dog,” Duane Chapman was involved in the 1976 murder of Jerry Oliver. He and his friends paid Oliver a visit to buy marijuana, when one of the men shot and killed him. Although Dog was waiting in a car at the time, he was still charged with first degree murder.

He served 18 months of a five-year sentence and is barred from the UK.

O.J. Simpson

He was arrested and charged for the murder of his Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman. Although he was found not guilty of the murder of his ex-wife  and her friend, many people still believe that Simpson did it.

Oliver Stone

You may recognize him as the acclaimed screen writer, director and producer who wrote teh famed gangster movie, Scarface.

You may not know that he enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war and even requested combat duty. He participated in over 25 helicopter combat assaults. For his service, Stone was awarded the Bronze Star with “V” device for his heroism in ground combat and a Purple Heart with an Oak Leaf cluster.

Tony Stewart

You may remember the shocking events of August 9, 2014. During a race at Canandaigua Motorsports Park, NASCAR driver Tony Stewart hit and killed Kevin Ward, Jr., after the latter exited his car during a caution.

Before the incident, the two cars made contact, causing Ward’s vehicle to hit the outside wall. He angrily exited his crashed car and walked onto the track as Stewart was coming around the track.

Stewart was never indicted on criminal charges.

Phil Spector

In 2003, the American record producer’s wife, Lana Clarckson, was found dead from a gunshot wound in his home. He was found guilty of murder in 2009 and sentenced to 19 years to life in prison.

9 Out-Of-This-World Facts About ALF

There were lots of great TV families in the 80s, and one of the best was the Tanners. This happy family from San Fernando welcomed one of TV’s favorite aliens into their home, setting the stage for one of the funniest comedies of the decade.

ALF (short for Alien Life Form) was a visitor from the planet Melmac with a taste for stray cats and a nose for trouble.

Over 4 seasons his hilarious adventures brought Willie a lot of headaches and his audience a lot of laughs, but there are some secrets about the show only the biggest ALF fans will know!

1. He’s even bigger in Germany

While ALF has fans around the world, none are as passionate about this adorable alien as the Germans. Special merchandise, including ALF’s rock album “Now I Sing,” were only released in Germany.

The German town of Alf also had to stock up on extra signs, because ALF fans wouldn’t stop stealing them.

2. The show’s writers were music buffs

The title of almost every episode of the show referenced a song, and normally one that related to the episode somehow. A few examples include “Wild Thing,” “Take A Look At Me Now” and “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.”

That may seem a little silly, but it’s impressive when you remember ALF ran for 102 episodes! That’s a lot of songs to come up with.

3. A reboot could be in the works

Nothing definite has been announced yet, but for years there have been rumors of ALF making his return to TV. ALF’s creator Paul Fusco even had a CGI movie planned with the space alien, but it seems like that’s off the table now.

4. The set was a nightmare

Paul Fusco, who was the show’s creator and also ALF’s puppeteer, was obsessed with keeping the show as “real” as possible.

To achieve this, he built a set four feet above the ground, full of holes and trap doors so the ALF puppet could interact naturally with the cast. Of course, a set with holes in it was totally unsafe, and it would sometimes take 18 hours to shoot one 30 minute episode.

Click the next page to learn what ALF is doing these days!

5. There are actually 3 ALFs

To make things easier on the cast and crew there were 2 ALF puppets, one that featured a full body and another from the chest up.

Sometimes a 3-foot-tall dwarf actor named Mihaly Meszaros would also suit up in an ALF costume. There was even an ALF puppet specifically for rehearsals named RALF (Rehearsal Alien Life Form).

Meszaros in and out of costume.

6. The show’s finale was controversial

Fusco landed himself in hot water when he ended ALF’s 4th season with a cliffhanger. The finale episode ended with ALF being catured by the US Army, a plot line that was supposed to be resolved in the next season.

Unfortunately ALF was cancelled, and fans had to wait 6 years to find out what happened to ALF in the (less popular) spinoff series Project: ALF.

7. ALF’s career is still going strong

This alien is no one-hit-wonder. Along with his own show, he had guest appearances on Matlock, Blossom and Hollywood Squares.

He also hosted his own talk show on the TV Land network. His career isn’t stopping either – he even appeared on Mr. Robot last year.

8. He had his own spinoff cartoon

Set before his home planet of Melmac exploded, ALF: The Animated Series explored the alien’s life before he met the Tanner family.

If you remember anything about this show, it’s probably this intro:

9. Baby Eric was a surprise addition to the show

In season 3, Mrs. Tanner (Anne Schedeen) got pregnant, giving birth to baby Eric, who became a regular character for the rest of the show’s run.

But the writers didn’t just come up with this idea. Schedeen actually got pregnant, leading them to write in Mrs. Tanner’s pregnancy.

Place into oven and bake until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes are golden brown and crisp, about 20-25 minutes.

Serve immediately.

Queen Elizabeth Makes Announcement After Calling An Emergency Meeting At Buckingham Palace

Early in the morning, Queen Elizabeth called an urgent “all staff” meeting that sent tabloid news agencies into high alert.

The announcement released to the media by Buckingham Palace stated that Prince Philip would be stepping down from public life after completing his scheduled engagements between now and August.

Initial reports speculated that the urgent announcement was related to an illness or even that the Queen would be stepping down from her duties.

According to the statement, the Duke of Edinburgh, who turns 96 in June, has “the full support of the Queen,” and he will no longer take on public engagements after autumn of this year; however, he may attend public events “from time to time.”

Staff from royal residences from across the country were called to London to be addressed by Lord Chamberlain, the most senior official in the Royal Household and Her Majesty’s Private Secretary Sir Christopher Geidt.

Although the Duke will be stepping down from public life, “Her Majesty will continue to carry out a full programme of official engagements with the support of the royal family.”
