Tom Brady Roasted As Brutal Bashing Continues

As the 2024 season enters its fifth week, Tom Brady has updated his power rankings, featuring his top five teams in the entire NFL.

The legendary quarterback highlighted the only two undefeated teams remaining in the league, along with one of his former franchises. (And no, I’m not talking about the New England Patriots.)

Brady has certainly been a lightning-rod early in his broadcast career.

He’ll always have his share of critics and haters – many rooted in pure jealousy. However, even some level-headed fans have been left unimpressed with his performance in the booth.

Therefore, it goes without saying that many fans took to social media to complain about his top five rankings…

“Is it mandatory to rank the chiefs number one every week? Is that how the league works now?”

“It’s crazy how much this guy doesn’t know ball.”

“I’m infatuated with your charisma.”

“This list is trash! No Ravens no Bills?”

“Vikings aren’t elite my man, they just a cute story. They gonna regress goat.”

“Chiefs are the least unimpressive 4-0 team. Vikings are the #1 team right now.”

To recap, Brady’s complete top five looks like this as we enter the first Sunday of October…

#1. Kansas City Chiefs

#2. Minnesota Vikings

#3. Houston Texans

#4. Detroit Lions

#5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

(For reference, here’s a look at the NFL Network’s current power rankings…)

(And now FOX Sports’…)

It’s safe to say Brady’s beloved Bucs will find themselves out of the top five when he updates his list next week.

Baker Mayfield and company have been one of the real surprises thus far in the early part of the season. In many ways, they deserved to beat the Atlanta Falcons last night, but the bottom line is they didn’t.

While Mayfield played great, Kirk Cousins played even better, and the Bucs left Atlanta with an extremely frustrating overtime loss.

Touching on the back-to-back champion Chiefs, Brady acknowledged that they haven’t played up to their ultra-high standards yet, but he knows they will sooner rather than later…

“They’d be the first to tell you they haven’t played their best ball yet, but they got experience at key positions,” Brady said. “They know what to do. They’re going to grind them out, and they’re going to keep winning as they continue to find the best version of themselves.”

Speaking of the Chiefs, Brady will be on the FOX call for one of the biggest matchups of the season when Kansas City travels to San Francisco to take on the 49ers in a much-anticipated Super Bowl rematch.

The clash will take place on Sunday, October 20.

What are your thoughts on Brady’s current top five? … What does YOUR top five look like as we head into another football Sunday???
