Chicago Bears fans are calling for the entire coaching staff’s removal after another disheartening loss at Soldier Field.

The Bears fell to the New England Patriots 19-3 yesterday causing fans to believe that major changes are needed going forward.

Caleb Williams, the top pick from the 2024 NFL Draft, struggled significantly against No. 3 pick Drake Maye, who outshined him with a strong and poised performance.

Williams, who was chosen as the future face of the franchise, completed just 16 of 30 passes for 120 yards, while Maye threw for 184 yards and a touchdown, leaving the Bears with a disappointing 4-5 record.

ESPN’s Mike Greenberg took to social media, condemning the Bears coaching approach as the root cause of Williams’ struggles.

“Caleb Williams was drafted ahead of Daniels, Maye and Nix because of his talent. He is playing worse than any of them because of his coaching. The #Bears are doing it again to another young quarterback. So predictable, so frustrating,” Greenberg posted on X.

This sentiment is shared widely by fans, who are demanding a top-down reevaluation.

While Williams has indeed struggled mightily, the majority of fans feel that head coach Matt Eberflus is severely hurting matters and deserves to be fired because of it.

Eberflus knows he’s entered troubled waters and has pledged to make any and all changes he feels are necessary to save the season.

“Everything’s on the table,” he said. “In-game communication, in terms of that, it’s gotta be better, tactical adjustments need to be better with that on all sides.

“It’s not been where we need it to be the last three weeks and, again, we’re finding answers for that and will make the necessary adjustments needed to do that.

“There is evidence on tape that we’ve had togetherness, complementary football, played winning football, and for you to sit there and say that we haven’t done that, that’s not true,” he added, addressing those who feel the team has been a complete disaster.

“Monday’s a long day in terms of the evaluation of everything. In terms of lineups, in terms of coaching, in terms of how we need to do better in that coaching and how we need to do better our communication in-game, during the game, after the game, prior to the game, so it’s important that we take time to make those decisions and make the right decisions that’s best for the Bears going forward this week and going into the future.”

Notably, Eberflus confirmed that Williams will remain the starting quarterback going forward.

What are your thoughts on the mess in Chicago?

What about Williams’ overall development? … Both Drake Maye and Bo Nix are much farther along than the No. 1 pick Williams. Just how much of the blame do you put on Eberflus?

Is it possible that Williams ends up going down as a bust???
