Notre Dame Makes Aggressive Move To Snatch Michigan Commit

Notre Dame’s upcoming football game against the Florida State Seminoles on November 9th is shaping up to be a pivotal recruiting event for the Fighting Irish.

Among the high-profile visitors to campus that weekend will be Andrew Olesh, a standout 2025 tight end from Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh.

The news of Olesh’s visit marks a significant development for Notre Dame’s recruitment efforts.

Olesh, who is currently committed to Michigan since July, remains a sought-after prospect despite his pledge. Several programs continue to pursue the talented pass catcher, including Notre Dame.

The Irish are already boasting a commitment from another highly regarded tight end, James Flanigan, from Green Bay (Wisc.) Notre Dame De La Baie Academy.

Flanigan, an Irish legacy, is considered a consensus four-star recruit and ranks among the top 110 players nationally across multiple recruiting platforms.

Notre Dame’s interest in Olesh comes as the program looks to solidify depth at tight end, especially with potential roster changes looming.

While Flanigan is firmly committed, the possibility of adding Olesh to the lineup excites many within the program.

Olesh is regarded as a consensus four-star player by every major recruiting service. His highest rankings come from On3 and 247Sports, both of which list him as the No. 47 overall player and the third-best tight end in the 2025 class.

His offer sheet further justifies this elite ranking, showcasing interest from numerous top-tier programs.

Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 215 pounds, Olesh has proven himself as an athletic force on the field. During his junior season in 2023, he recorded 53 receptions for 973 yards and 10 touchdowns.

His versatility extends beyond offense, as he also plays safety and linebacker for Southern Lehigh, demonstrating his impressive overall athleticism.

Needless to say, Notre Dame’s upcoming game against Florida State just got even more interesting.

Do you think Marcus Freeman will be able to pluck Olesh away from Michigan???
